Sports Day

Sports Day is an annual event at Bamford and a great opportunity for the whole school to come together. Each class completes in their assigned teams, across a relay of various events. These include: the traditional egg and spoon; a mini assault course; target boules and a popular sprint relay. At the end of the day, scores from each class are tallied up and an overall winning team is announced. Alongside the children, the teachers (who are also assigned to a team) compete in a traditional 3-legged race and parents are invited to participate in a 100m sprint. This is where the competitive edge truly emerges! Sports Day is always an exciting day here at Bamford – particularly if we manage to escape the rain!
