International Week
As part of our Commitment to Internationalism, the school celebrates 'International Week' each year. All classes participate in the week by coming completely off timetable and planning a whole week of activities. Each year each class focusses on a different country from around the world. They learn about and celebrate their food, religions, customs and heritage. At the end of the week the children celebrated with an 'International Assembly' where representatives from each class perform presentations about their classes learning. This included readings, dances, artwork, costumes and more.
We invited guests into school who demonstrated and taught us traditional African and Salsa dancing, and how to play traditional Indian and African Instruments.

This year we were delighted to hold our first annual 'International Evening' where parents were invited into school for an evening of celebration, food and entertainment. Children's work was displayed and each class performed a short presentation for parents. The evening proved to be such a great success that we are hoping to hold our next International Evening in the Spring term.
