Teaching Assistants

We have a number of staff who work within the classrooms supporting our teachers and children.

The Role of the Teaching Assistant (TA) at Bamford Academy :

At Bamford Academy we are fortunate to have an experienced and skilled team of Teaching Assistants (TAs). Their role takes them into all classes throughout the school where they can be found working alongside Class Teachers, supporting large groups, small groups and also working one-to-one where necessary.

Teaching Assistants (TAs) contribute in many ways to the life of the school. They are now an essential teaching resource and a requirement to ensure our full delivery of Government Strategies. They have opportunities to develop their professional expertise by attending courses and training provided by our school, Rochdale Authority and outside agencies.

TAs develop effective relationships with children, teachers, parents, Governors and other visitors to school. Bamford Academy is an exciting and vibrant Learning Environment and TA's are a full part of our teaching experience.
