Principal's Update

OfSTED INSPECTION

We have been informed that our Ofsted Inspection will take place this week on Wednesday 25th & Thursday 26th January. Parents/carers will shortly be receiving a questionnaire to complete and return to school. Please do complete this asap and return to school by Wednesday 25th. Many tbanks in advance.

OVERSEAS VISITORS

We have a busy and excitng week instore as we welcome 16 teachers and 8 pupils from out Comenius Partnershp visiting us on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We are pleased to welcome them to our school and show them the fantastic work that we do here at Bamford.

FACEBOOK AND TWITTER

Very shortly we will be launching our own facebook and twitter pages in addition to the present communication systems. More details about these will follow at a later date. We are also getting our own Bamford Academy app for iphone and ipod users, but this is only in the planning stages at present.:) 

PERFORMING ARTS WEEK - W/C Monday 6th February

This is our theme week this term and will commence week beginning Monday 6th February.  We have lots of exciting events lined up for the children with a visit from Ursula Holden-Gill sotry teller on Monday 6th in the morning - and a special visit from a local Soap Star - all will be revealed very soon. A very exciting week.

 

New School Uniform Update:- the new school uniform will shortly be available from Monkhouses. They will be holding 3 measuring up sessions in school to assist you in obtaining the correct sizes on the following dates:-

School Closes.

Proposed Trip to Spain

The trip to Spain has now been cancelled due to insufficient take up. We are now looking into a possible 5 day UK break. Further details will follow when we have them.

 

Music Technology Evening Classes

The new music technology lessons that have begun for Year 5 & 6 children (on a rota basis) have been such a success that we have been requested to provide after school sessions for both children and also adults. The After School Club for Bamford Academy children will commence at 3.15 - 5.00 pm in January 2012. Children will be given information in school about joining instructions this term.

Classes for adults, youths and children from other schools (no age limit) will commence in the New Year between 7.00 -9.00 pm. There will be a £20 charge per session for this lesson and particpants are expected to sign up for at least 6 weeks. There is a class limit of 20 and particpants need to be aware that they will be paired with another person for these sessions.

Spanish, Yoga and Zumba Evening Sessions
