Awards for the School

Bamford Primary school is well know locally, nationally and internationally for its outstanding achievements in International links and the global dimension of the curriculum. It has been awarded the prestigious International Award in 2005 and again in 2008.

Bamford Primary School has received a wide range of awards over the years from Musical awards to great sporting achievements. We are very proud of the awards we receive and have a gallery of certificates at the entrance to our school.

On many occasions our school choir have won the Rochdale Youth Music Festival and the John Pop Kenny Memorial Shield. We have also taken part in the MEN Young Voices concert, and we even entered the Sing for Joseph competition!

We are very proud of our sporting achievements from winning many Football and Netball matches to our most recent triumph - winning a Basketball tournament which gave us the opportunity to represent Rochdale in the Mini Games.

We have also been awarded the Healthy School's Award, the Activemark for Sports, we presently hold the Bronze Award for Eco Schools and are now aiming for the Silver. We are very proud that our newly formed Gardening Club has recently won the 'Best Rochdale School in Bloom Award 2010'.
