VLE - Virtual Learning Environment
What is a VLE?
VLE stands for Virtual Learning Environment and is a software system designed to support teaching and learning in an educational setting. A VLE works over the Internet and provides a collection of tools for assessment, communication, uploading of content - work, pictures etc, return of children's work, peer assessment, administration of pupil groups, collecting and organising pupil test results and assessments, questionnaires and tracking tools. New features in these systems include wikis, blogs, RSS and 3D virtual learning spaces.
